Farooq Abdullah to become Prime Minister of India

AbdullahSrinagar. After National Conference and Congress came together to make Omar Abdullah the youngest Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, both the parties came even closer by announcing that Omar's father Farooq Abdullah would take over as the Prime Minister of India from January 20, 2009.

"Farooq sa'ab had expressed his willingness to play a role in national and international politics after giving up his claim over the chief minister's post in J&K. We thought to provide him this opportunity and Madam Gandhi proposed this solution." Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad told Faking News.

Interestingly, Farooq Abdullah would become the Prime Minister of India on the same day when Barack Obama would take the oath of presidency in the USA. Congress refused to comment on this aspect but BJP is livid.

“This is a great insult to Sikhs and Hindus of the country and complete surrender to US policies. We have lost our sovereignty as a nation. This is shameful.” BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad told.

Political pundits believe that Congress is gearing up for the general elections and trying to forge strong alliances with like minded parties. National Conference was an obvious choice as both the parties believe in ‘family’ values and speaking up for the minorities in their respective regions.

These pundits (political ones, not the Kashmiri ones) also believe that Congress has played a masterstroke by announcing Farooq as PM. Sources inform that Omar Abdullah, the new Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, was going to demand a rupees 300 crores bailout package from New Delhi for the state. By making Farooq Abdullah the Prime Minister, Congress has tried to check mate the anticipated bailout package, and put the father-son duo in a tough spot, the pundits claimed.
